About IP Address & Network Info Online

This tool returns detailed information about any IP address: its country, region, city, ISP, ASN (autonomous system number), and the type of network (residential, business, mobile, data center, hosting). It uses public IP geolocation data sources to compile the result.

IP info lookups are useful for log analysis (where did this traffic come from?), fraud detection (is this purchase from a known data center IP?), localising content for users, and security investigations.

Geolocation accuracy varies. Country detection is usually >99% accurate. City-level accuracy is good for residential IPs in populated areas but poor for mobile, VPN, or remote IPs. ISP and ASN data is generally reliable since it comes from the regional internet registries.

How to use this tool

How to look up geolocation and ownership for an IP

  1. Enter the IP

Type a public IPv4 or IPv6 address into the "IPv4 or IPv6 address" field (7–45 characters). Private ranges (10.x, 192.168.x, fe80::, etc.) won't return useful geo data.

  2. What gets fetched

The tool calls a public IP-geolocation backend (IP-API) from our server and returns geolocation plus network ownership for the address.

  3. Press Run

Result returns country, region, city, latitude/longitude, isp, asn, organisation, and timezone. Accuracy varies — city-level geolocation is approximate and IPs near data-centre boundaries often misreport.

  4. Use the result

Good for abuse triage and quick "who owns this IP?" checks. Do not rely on city / postcode for legal-grade attribution; for production geo decisions, use a paid commercial database.
