This tool resizes images to any width and height you specify. You can preserve the aspect ratio (so the image is not distorted) or stretch to exact dimensions. The resizing is done with high-quality resampling so the result stays sharp.
Image resizing is essential for web optimization — large camera photos uploaded directly to a website slow page loads dramatically. Resizing to the size your design actually uses (e.g., 1200px wide for hero images) reduces file weight by 80-90% without visible quality loss.
The tool supports JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and other common formats. Output retains the original format unless you choose to convert.

How to resize an image
Upload your image
Drop the file into the Image field. Any format Sharp can read works — JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF, etc.
Set the target Width
"Width (px)" is required: the new width in pixels (1–8000). Aspect ratio is preserved when Height is left at 0.
Optional Height
"Height (0 = auto)" defaults to 0, meaning "compute height to keep aspect ratio." Set a positive value to fit inside W×H (the tool uses fit: inside).
Press Run
Output is a JPEG at quality 90 sized to fit your target box. withoutEnlargement is on — images smaller than the target stay at their original size rather than upscaling and going blurry.
